Hello Spring!

I got the idea for this card from a post by B. J. Peters.  Mine is not quite as elaborate as hers, but a similar look.  First I stamped a piece of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Whisper White with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Sahara Sand.  Then I cropped a rectangular hole out of the middle with my Stampin' Trimmer.  I did the same with another piece of white that measured 1/4" bigger to create the window frame.

Hardwood Wood-Mount Background Stamp #133032

This stamp is also available in Clear Mount, but I always prefer the wood-mount on these larger stamps because they are so much easier to handle.

I stamped a garden of wildflowers on a piece of White Shimmer Paper and watercolored the images.  These stamps are from the Sale-A-Bration item, Flowering Fields, free with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more, now through March 31st. I adhered them to the back of the window with Dimensionals.

Hello Spring is from Circle of Spring, available in the Annual Catalog.  I cropped it with my 1" Square Punch, then cut a pink square just 1/8" larger to back it with.  The Pink Pirouette butterfly is from the Bold Butterfly Framelits set # 138135 in the Annual Catalog.

This could be an all-occasion card, or a Mother's Day card (thinking ahead) or a birthday card.  I know my Mother-in-Law will love it.  She is a gardener extraordinaire!
