Cards for My Monthly Class and a bit of photography thrown in!

Are you inspired by beautiful photos?  I mean, who isn't?!  I took this photo while staying at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel in Tiberius, Israel.  This is a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee:

It was such a fabulous trip.  We went with a tour group through Noseworthy Travel Services.  I highly recommend this tour to everyone that has studied the Bible, as it absolutely brings the Bible to life.  You will never study it the same way again.  In everything you read, you will have an image of the places etched in your brain.  Dangerous, you might ask?  Nope, I felt safer there than I do here in the U.S.  It was an incredible experience.

OK, I know you didn't click in to hear about my trip!  How about some cards?  I had a card making class this week, and (disclaimer) I relied on my fellow stampers for inspiration this time, so these designs are not my own.  But they did turn out very pretty and I want to share them with you.

This is a beautiful Mint Macaron and Whisper White card that I found on Mary Brown's blog.  We absolutely loved this card.  Here is the inside that I made (to match the envelope) ~

The next card is from an idea I got on Julie Davison's blog.  She has a tutorial on the Pleated Paper Fold.  I've also heard it called the Drapery Fold or the Curtain Fold.  I used the new Pop of Pink DSP, which will be available on June 1st along with the new stamp set, Love & Affection.  This paper and stamp set are going to be a favorite!

Here are 2 alternative ways to cover the seam created by the pleated paper fold.  The top one is a 1/2" strip of the Pop of Pink paper.  I also experimented with different sizes and orientation of the folds.

Last, a sympathy card.  I do not have the name of the person that originally created this card.  I had a photo saved, but there was no watermark or identifying label anywhere.  If you recognize it and want to let me know, I will give you a shout out!  I love this card, made with our retiring Blackberry Bliss card stock, Old Olive, Flowering Fields DSP from Sale-a-bration, and the tree from Thoughts & Prayers.  I added a bit of sponging around the white square after chatting with my class members.  We thought it added some dimension to this pretty card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I will work hard on getting back into my crafting and blogging.  Things are starting to settle down for a time.  Happy Wednesday to you!  Until next time, Happy Stamping!
