Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month our projects showcase themes that are “from the heart.” This includes any of the following themes… Valentine’s Day, Thinking of You, Get Well and/or Sympathy. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
Love is in the air this Valentine's Day with our new Lift Me Up Bundle! For the Blog Hop today I chose Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party, Perfect Plum, and Whisper White for this amazing hot air balloon thinlit. It is super easy to make with the Big Shot and these thinlits dies ~
I started with a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" base card of Island Indigo, a slightly smaller layer of Whisper White, and a 5 1/4" x 4" layer of the sky scene from Serene Scenery DSP Stack.
I made the smaller balloon in the back with Pool Party, heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. I glued it directly to the card, then I popped the large balloon up with Dimensionals to be the focal point of the card.
The banner "flying" from the balloon is a 1/2" wide strip of Perfect Plum, heat embossed with white Stampin' Emboss Powder. I curled it in 2 directions with my Bone Folder and attached it with a couple of Glue Dots.
There is a tiny bit of Crumb Cake under the basket of the balloon and Linen Thread to embellish.
The tiny hearts that I glued to the balloon and scattered in the sky were punched from the Confetti Hearts Border Punch. Click here to order.
On the inside I stamped Happy Valentine's Day from our new Sealed with Love Photopolymer Stamper Set and added a few more hearts.
This sentiment stamp is very delicate, so I heat embossed it with Clear Stampin" Emboss Powder right over the Perfect Plum ink. It brings out the color a little deeper and gives a nice shine without puffing up.
I stamped the smallest balloon image three times in the matching colors on the front of the envelope, along with some cute little clouds!
A list of the products I used along with links to my online store will be at the bottom of this post.
