Love IS in the Air!

As you can see, I can't get enough of this hot air balloon! Today, I've sent it soaring over a love-filled sky for a love-ly valentine!

The Designer Series Paper is from the Sending Love DSP stack.  The balloon and clouds are from the Lift Me Up Bundle.  Here I backed it with Basic Black Cardstock, but in hindsight I think I would use Soft Sky behind it to tie in with the inside of the card:

The images on the inside are also from the Lift Me Up stamp set.  I used the Foam Adhesive Strips to pop my balloon up off the card as they are a little thicker than Dimensionals and give a bit more depth.

OK, I think I'm ready to move on to other stamp sets, but you never know -- you might see another balloon here one day if another idea pops into my head! :-)

Remember, if you purchase this bundle, you will qualify for a free Sale-A-Bration item!  All purchases over $50 earns you a free item ~ and these are great products ~ stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, etc.  Browse through the brochure (on my sidebar) to see all the products you can get.

Lifting You Up

While I've primarily used this bundle for birthday cards and even Valentine's Day cards, this sentiment included in the set is perfect for a sympathy card, and this is for a friend who recently lost a loved one.

Lift Me Up Bundle ~ #144712 (Clear Mount) and #144711 (Wood Mount)

I took my color scheme from the coordinating Designer Series Paper called Carried Away. It is FREE through our Sale-A-Bration brochure when you spend $50 from our Annual or Occasions catalogs, or from the Clearance Rack in the online store. If you purchase the Lift Me Up Bundle you will qualify for this free paper ~

I used a 2 1/2" strip of the Mint Macaron cloud print and ran a length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon along the top and bottom of the strip.

My balloon is cropped out using the Up & Away Thinlits Dies (part of the bundle) and Night of Navy cardstock.  Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, and Mint Macaron cardstock is glued behind the balloon thinlit. The hot air balloon is "lifted up" on Stampin' Dimensionals.

On the inside I continued the four colors and used a sentiment from Flourishing Phrases that matched the front sentiment very well ~

When the Creative Juices Just Aren't Flowing ~ CASE!

Really!  We all go through dry spells when we just cannot come up with a new idea...please tell me I'm not alone in this!  But that is OK and why some genius crafter came up with CASEing!

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything, and it's what I love about this stamping community. Everyone is willing to share their ideas and let others copy them. When I'm too tired or busy to be creative, but want to make something beautiful, I am grateful that someone else's ideas are just a click on the keyboard away!

Often, by copying someone else's creation, it serves as a springboard for me to come up with new ideas.  And those ideas are shared and copied and the cycle continues...

I've got some cards to show you that I have CASEd recently.  (Hopefully I will get the original crafter's names correct!)

This card was fun for me as it was mostly stamping and minimal die cutting.  It uses the Cool Treats photopolymer stamps and lots of fun colors ~ Watermelon Wonder/Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay/Pool Party, Calypso Coral/Peekaboo Peach, Crumb Cake/Early Espresso.

The birthday greeting from the same set is stamped inside an oval cropped with a Stitched Shapes Framelit.  These framelits were unavailable for some time, but they are back now and available for purchase!  Click here to see them at my online store.

This cute Valentine was an Amy K creation.  It uses the Sealed With Love Stamp Set and Framelit Bundle (Occasions Catalog), and the Jar of Love Bundle (Annual Catalog.)

The jar is a window feature that houses several stamped and punched hearts!

I swapped out Amy's gold paper for Pink Pirouette and included some of the pink inside the jar as well.

Inside ~ Real Red and Pink Pirouette hearts from the set.

The last one is a hot air balloon for a birthday card.  It's made with the Lift Me Up Bundle from the Occasions Catalog. I loved the way Jaimie used white embossing powder for the clouds.  I used Island Indigo rather than Peekaboo Peach for the base card, and I found a bit of Pool Party glitter ribbon (retired).  Watermelon Wonder is the color behind the Whisper White balloon. It is popped up on Dimensionals to look like it's floating among the clouds.

So CASE away, share the love, and by all means send some happy mail to someone today!

Have a wonderful day!

Penned & Painted ~ A Beauty!

I'm in love ~  with So In Love Designer Series Paper!  Paired with this pretty bloom from Penned & Painted Stamp Set, you have a gorgeous card that can be used for many occasions.

I pulled the colors from this DSP ~ Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, and Sahara Sand for the flower, stem, and leaves.  Then I added a little Always Artichoke for the outline of the stem and leaves.

I stamped the center of the flower with Blushing Bride - three times to darken it a bit, then added Wink of Stella just to the Blushing Bride center.

The flowers in this set are stunning!  The photopolymer stamps are cut in a way that gives you a watercolor-washed look.  They are two-step stamps, so you can use a complimentary color for the outline.

Penned & Painted # 141938

I stamped the flower onto a scrap of Very Vanilla, then quickly cut it out close to the lines.  I popped it up using Dimensionals over the same image that was stamped on a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangle of Very Vanilla.

My sentiment came from Basket of Wishes, and I used a Sweet Sugarplum enamel heart as an accent.

I stamped a different flower image onto the envelope using the same colors.  Pretty!

You can see my card stock cuts below, as well as all the products I used to create my card.  I hope you like it as much as I do!
