At Home With You for Tic Tac Toe 02 Challenge

Welcome home! Or, at least, welcome to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #2! I really stretched myself for this one. I knew I wanted to play with my new bundle called At Home With You. I love it - more about that later. Check out the TTT02 challenge board ~

I went diagonal with "wood, gray, and hexagon." That last element was my challenge!

At Home With You is a super cute new bundle that features a door that really opens, and all the little floral arrangements that you might want to put around your door. Click this link to check out the video from Stampin' Up! ...

Here is my open door...

And you can see how the card looks when you open the whole thing...

I dug into my retired stash of papers to find this grass paper. It was from our old DSP called Adventure Bound. Maybe some of you still have it as well? I couldn't resist the realistic looking grass around the doorstep!

Oh, boy, here I go again... I needed something "hexagon" to fit in the challenge, and while I could have used the textured embossing folder on the house, I had already gone too far with the card to go back. So I found a little hexagon Urban Underground embellishment that worked pretty well for a doorknob. There, all bases covered! Gray (check), wood (check), hexagon (check).

The wooden door is from Wood Textures DSP Stack #144177 in the new 2017-18 Annual Catalog, page 187.

I created the vertical texture on the house by scoring every 1/2" with my Stampin' Trimmer, and the texture on the walkway is created with the Brick Wall embossing folder.

I colored the flower pots with Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand stamp pads and my Blender Pen.

I'm excited to use this bundle around the holidays with the Fall Decor and Christmassy wreaths and pots. So cute and so fun!

If you are looking for a Demonstrator, I would be happy to fill that roll for you! Pick a "B" for Blog Hop Day!

Welcome to the June 2017 Pals Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month’s theme, Pick a “B”, features projects inspired by Babies, Birthdays and Brides to name few. You may just get a glimpse of new catalog products while you hop with us today.
Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

Is there anything sweeter than this Moon Baby stamp set? Do I hear an "aaaaaww!"? For my blog hop entry today I picked a B for Baby and created this card-in-a-bag project.

The bag is made using a Powder Pink sheet from the Fresh Florals DSP Stack and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.

I stamped the moon baby with Archival Basic Black ink onto watercolor paper, then used my Aqua Painter to color it in. I used Daffodil Delight for the moon and lamb, Powder Pink for the baby's pajamas and the bunny, and Soft Sky around the moon image and for the bear. I sparkled up the stars on the inside card with Wink of Stella.

For the baby's skin color, I diluted Powder Pink even more and did a quick wash of color on her face and hand. Then I dabbed a little more concentrated color on her cheeks.

I cut a star from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to match the star on the stamp and glued it down.  I attached the Powder Pink ribbon with some Tear & Tape and adhered it to the back of the bag, brought it around and tied a bow.

The last step ~ the envelope. I used a 2-1/4" x 6" piece of left over DSP to cover the back flap.

All products will be listed below. Enjoy the Hop!

Thanks again for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on July 12th. We’re having a pattern party! Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. See you on July 12th for the next Pals Blog Hop!

Playing Along With Challenges

I enjoy doing the online challenges with my cardmaking hobby. It is a great way to get the creative juices flowing! Sketches can be taken literally or they can be used as a jumping off point for something original. I am covering two challenges with my card today. The first one is the Craft Project Central's Creating Pretty Cards challenge. It is CPC72 and you can visit their site by clicking HERE. If you have a blog, you can join in and post to their site. Here is the sketch that was designed by Monika:

In addition, a new weekly challenge that has just been started is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Here is the first one that was created by fellow Pal, Peggy Noe ~

I chose to follow the far left column with gold, black, and baker's twine included on my card.

To make my card, I started with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" base of Garden Green, then added a 5-1/4" x 4" layer of Basic Black. I topped that with a Garden Green print- 5" x 3-3/4" - from our new Christmas Designer Series Paper called Be Merry ~

Following the CPC sketch quite closely, I cut 4 strips of Gold Foil at 5/16" x 3-1/2", and one strip at 1/4"x 3-1/2". I glued them behind a 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangle of Basic Black and  adhered it to the card. Then I glued down a 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White.

I cut out two "love" sentiments from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, one in Basic Black and one in Gold Foil. I glued them together, offsetting them just a bit. I glued that to the white piece, then finished it off with Baker's Twine in the top left, and two (retired) black candy dots on the right.

Come on...play along! Choose a column - either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal - just like Tic Tac Toe, make your card, and post it HERE.

Have fun with this! I always get lots of great ideas from other stampers' entries through these challenges as well. And isn't that what's it's all about? Sharing our passion with others! I'm looking forward to seeing what you enter!

Have a great weekend!
