Karen's Stampin' Habit!: Thinking of You Notecard

A quick post today as life has been crazy busy this week. I needed a card for a friend who had sudden health issues that landed her in the hospital.

I had this leaf left over from a previous project that we made in one of my classes. It has the tree from Sheltering Tree heat embossed onto watercolor paper with gold embossing powder, then cut out using the Leaflets Framelits. I then watercolored the leaf with Old Olive, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie.

The background paper is one of the sheets in the Serene Scenery DSP Stack. I think the leaf looks stunning next to the bokeh print on this paper. I cut it at 5" x 3 1/2" and glued it to a Whisper White Notecard after gluing a strip of Gold Satin ribbon across the middle.

"Thinking of You" is a sentiment in the Basket of Wishes stamp set.

I covered the back flap of the envelope with the remainder of the 6" x 6" piece of Serene Scenery DSP.

Yippee for recycling leftovers! I knew I kept that extra leaf for a good reason!
