Bloomin' Love Engagement Card

Today is the day! Our 2017 Occasions Catalog goes LIVE!
Be sure to take some time to go through this amazing catalog.  There are so many beautiful new products and projects for you to buy and make. If you're like me, you'll want one of everything! Along with the Occasions Catalog, our once-a-year Sale-a-Bration promotion starts today.  It runs through March 31st.  If you're not yet familiar with Sale-a-Bration, it is the most fun time of year!  You gets to chose one free item from the brochure with every $50 you spend from Stampin' Up! And each item is super cute!  I'll be posting projects with them to show you (and tempt you!) They all coordinate with other sets in the Occasions and/or Annual Catalog, which gives you more "bang for your buck" and enhances your creativity.  Enjoy looking through everything.  If you need a catalog, and place an order with me, just let me know ~ I'll put one in the mail for you right away! You can also look at it online by clicking on the image on my sidebar. But really, having one in your hands is the best!

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to show you an engagement card that I made today! I have a young friend who left California a few years ago to attend college in Chicago.  She survived four years of the Windy City weather and decided to stay and go to medical school.  She met her true love and now they are going to get married.  We are going to celebrate their engagement with them this weekend!  I found out that her wedding colors are "dusty pink and wine."  I've got that!!

I picked a print from Blooms & Bliss and created some layers with Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride.  The heart stamp from Bloomin' Love is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.  I used a tiny flower framelit from Botanical Builders and cut 3 Blushing Bride and 3 Perfect Plum flowers and attached them with Glue Dots.  The sweet sentiment is from Lift Me Up ~ a new stamp set that is available today!

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Cottage Greetings and a flower from Bloomin' Love. Pearls fit into the centers of the flowers, inside and out.

This card would be great for Valentine's Day with a different sentiment on the inside, but I love this sentiment for a pre-wedding, engagement card.  I do wish them ridiculous amounts of happiness, and I have a feeling they are going to have just that!

Have yourselves a happy day!

Karen
