Painted Harvest, in Purples!

I have mentioned before how much I love this Painted Harvest suite of products. When a card making challenge came through with specific directions to use purples in the card, I thought...hmmm....why not?! If nature didn't make a purple sunflower, I think it should!

I made this a 4-1/4" square card. The base is Perfect Plum with a skinny layer of Sweet Sugarplum. I ran a 4" square piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then ran a 6" length of Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon around it. An extra 4" is enough to tie a sweet knot around the ribbon.

To anchor the sunflower, I cropped the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and glued it directly to the Vanilla square, tucking it under the ribbon.

For the sunflower, I stamped it first with Sweet Sugarplum, then with Perfect Plum on Very Vanilla cardstock. For the center, I gave it three stamps with Smoky Slate and did the same with the little dots in the center. Then I cut it out using my Paper Snips and attached it with Dimensionals. I gave the center a little shine with Wink of Stella.

For the leaves, I stamped them twice with the two-step stamps, both times with Smoky Slate, cut them out and glued the stems down under the flower.

That cute little tag comes from Coffee Cups Framelits and I stamped a tiny heart with Perfect Plum. I tied it to the ribbon with Silver MetallicThread.
