Quick and Pretty Birthday Card with Sweet Soiree

birthday card idea, Sweet Soiree DSP, Cake Soiree Stamp Set, Stampin Up, Karen Hallam, stampinup

This sweet (soiree) birthday card goes together very quickly! The DSP does all the work for you.

One of the papers in the Sweet Soiree DSP pack has rows of these pretty cakes on it. You can easily cut it into 2" wide strips and you have enough cake pieces for 12 cards!

I started with a Calypso Coral notecard and envelope (free with Sale-A-Bration). I cut the DSP to 5-1/2" x 2" strips, adhered 5-1/2" x 1/2" strips of Silver Foil Sheets on either side and glued it to the card base.

Then I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Calypso Coral onto Whisper White cardstock, cropped an oval using the Stitched Shapes oval, and layered it onto a scalloped Silver Foil oval. I popped this up on Dimensionals and tied a bow using the silver Tinsel Trim left over from the Holiday Catalog, now retired, which I adhered with a Glue Dot. Three tiny rhinestones and done! So easy! And beautiful with the silver shine.

I made another card exactly the same way but with slightly different embellishments ~

On this one I tied a bow with the 1/8" Silver Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot over some tiny metallic sequin trim. I scattered my three rhinestones a little further on this one.

I love this paper! It looks like you spent all day coloring it. And the whole card might take you 15 minutes to put together! Can't beat that when you need a card in a hurry!
