Garden Poppies

Greetings! Happy Friday to you! 

The inspiration for the card I'm sharing today came from my front yard! Our hillside is awash with California Poppies~ 

And here is my card~

I used the Oh, So Eclectic Bundle to make this card. The flower die cuts in Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies remind me of our poppies, especially when they are made with Tangerine Tango cardstock (one of our retiring colors - you can still get it till June!)

The trellis in white is another die in this bundle. I cut and glued three poppies and stuck them in the diamond hole shapes to look like they are climbing the trellis.

The Garden Green cardstock is embossed with Petal Burst Textured Embossing Folder, and I wrapped Lemon Lime Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon around the width before adhering it to the Thick Whisper White Cardstock base.

The sentiment is part of the bundle. I punched it with a 1" Circle Punch and added a 1 1/4" scalloped circle behind it.

I was unaware at the time I made this card, but look at the colors in my grandson's shirt as he was looking for Easter eggs among the poppies!

This set will only be sold as a bundle until the new catalog comes out in June.  The stamps and thinlits will be carried over, but the stamps will be sold separately from the thinlits dies. If you buy them now, you will save 10% with the bundle price. Just sayin'! It's a great set!

What's that paper on the envelope? Glad you asked! It's from Picture Perfect Party 6" x 6" DSP, and it matches perfectly! It is another item that will only be good through May. SO...since I started writing this post, we have received all kinds of fun news from Stampin' Up! The retiring list is out, the new in colors have been revealed, a complete color refresh has been announced, and new ink pads are being introduced. So much is happening, it's hard to keep up.
